Robots.txt CheckerAs you know, the use of a robots.txt file can be extremely useful. You can give specific instructions to ‘bots’ or ‘crawlers’ as to where you want them to visit on your website and where you want them not to go. You can also do things like tell them how long they should wait before visiting each page, or what times of the day or night they are allowed. As your site develops, your robots.txt file needs to be kept up-to-date with your specific requirements.
Rankvision shows within the tool whether you have a robots.txt file and, if you do, clearly which ‘bots’ you are allowing access to, and what, as which ‘bots’ you are disallowing access to and what. This makes it easy for you to quickly check that the robots.txt file s doing what you want it to do.
