One of the biggest problems on the internet is the duplicate content issue. You have written, or paid for, all of the pages of content on your site. How annoying would it be if someone just came along and copied all of that content and put it on their own site and pretended it was theirs?? Well, it does happen frequently and it is annoying! In fact, it is more than annoying. Firstly, it is illegal, especially if your content is Copyright protected. Secondly, it could harm you site. Although you hope that the search engines will recognize that you published the content on the internet first, and that it is your content. There is a real danger that, at some point, they will consider the other website to be the ‘authority’ and this could have serious implications for your rankings.

The above scenario happens all the time, and the associated problem is that it almost always happens without your knowledge.

We have a tool that protects you. What it does is enables you to put in 15 (there will be more soon) web pages that you want to protect. Then, Rankvision will check every page on the internet to see if anyone has copied, even partly, any of those pages. It will display how many sites have copied your content and will show you the url of where these copies are located.

Now you know someone is copying your content you can do something about it. We cannot help you with this, although contacting the offending webmaster would naturally be your first step, followed by the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) should you get no satisfactory response.
